Akio Toyoda, the driving force behind Toyota Motor Corporation, is on a mission to elevate the thrill of the ride for sports car enthusiasts. Drawing on Toyota’s rich motorsports legacy spanning over 60 years, he continues to fine-tune his expertise in crafting the kind of vehicles that fuel his passion. At an exclusive event in New York City, the intensity rises as Toyota Gazoo Racing unveils the GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition, the GR Corolla Circuit Edition in the striking Blue Flame hue, and the GR86 TRUENO Edition.
For more than four decades, the Supra has stood as an iconic symbol among sports car aficionados and even captured the attention of the fashion world. In a nod to the 1990s models, the GR Supra 45th Anniversary edition pays homage in a vibrant Mikan Blast (inspired by the Japanese word for orange) or the cool Absolute Zero. Based on the 3.0 Premium Grade, this GR Supra boasts a sleek, compact design accentuated by a sizable manually adjustable rear spoiler. Rising three inches above the rear deck lid, the spoiler allows drivers to customize its angle, influencing the downforce on the rear wheels.
The GR Corolla, maintaining its fusion of style and substance, welcomes back the Circuit Edition for the 2024 model year. Introducing the eye-catching Blue Flame option, alongside the timeless Ice Cap, this edition features standard black forged aluminum 18-inch BBS® wheels reminiscent of the 2023 MORIZO Edition. The Blue Flame Circuit Edition is further distinguished by black side rocker graphics leading up to the stamped GR-Four logo.
Toyota doubles down on driving exhilaration and style for the 2024 GR86 model year. First in line is the limited GR86 TRUENO Edition, sporting a nostalgic two-tone appearance in either Halo and black or Track bRed and black. Following closely is the Performance Package, boasting SACHS Dampers and Brembo Brakes, now standard on the TRUENO Edition and available as an upgrade package for other GR86 models.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing embodies Toyota’s unwavering commitment to pushing limits, crafting ‘ever-better’ cars, and innovating relentlessly from the track to the street. Under extreme motorsports conditions, they continue to forge new technologies and solutions, ensuring a seamless transition from the thrill of the race to the joy of the open road.
