Transporting us back to 1974, Casio delights enthusiasts with the Casiotron 50th Anniversary TRN50-2A, a limited-edition timepiece paying homage to the pioneering Casiotron.

This iconic digital watch, boasting the first-ever automatic calendar function, made its debut half a century ago. The TRN50-2A commemorates five decades of Casio’s steadfast dedication to originality and innovation.

Reflecting on this milestone, Tom Kato, Chairman of Casio America, remarked, “The introduction of the Casiotron in 1974 marked a pivotal moment in timekeeping history. Not only was it the inaugural digital watch with an automatic calendar, but it also heralded a revolutionary transformation in the industry by integrating digital technology into personal timepieces. The Casiotron’s release established a new benchmark in watchmaking, catalyzing innovations that are now ubiquitous.”
